Modern Leftism/Progressivism actually has little in common with Bolshevism except for one thing: neither ideology will tolerate the presence of any line of thought other than its own.
The Bolshevists believed it was their mandate to create a classless utopia, and to mow down anyone who stood in their way.
Modern Progressivists are more about social engineering than they are about classless utopia. Their vision more closely resembles something like Aldous Huxley's Brave New World. They have taken control of our schools and universities in the hopes of reducing (and eventually rendering extinct) those who would oppose their dreams of eternal cappuccinos and orgies.
The face of modern Progressivism can be deceivingly warm and pretty at times. But peel it away and you'll find something even Stalin might balk at.
I don't think I have ever heard the slander and name calling that has become a hallmark of the Democrooks this election year. They are dangerous!
Beware when you hear "Peace" and "Justice" repeated over and over.
The Communists never wanted a classless society. They simply wanted to make the decisions as to who was in what class, e.g., themselves at the top with all the power, everyone else having none. Exactly like the "progressives" today.
Remember these same folks who readily admit how fervently they hate the President admonishing us just a few years back that intolerance of homosexuality was "hate" and therefore detestable?
Wish I could agree, but I am afraid that I think the leadership of the Democrat party are the top bananas. What amazes me is how oblivious the public is to this. If they ever wake up, the rats will be history.

Also to be a successful democrat you have to say things publicly that will endanger our troops and get people killed and weaken the Executive Branch of the United States on the world stage in time of War(which used to be called Treason and Sedition), endangering every American. They do not care about the Country, they just want their power back no matter what the cost!!!!
They even try to make shady deals with the Ultimate Nonsense(U.N.), even not knowing about a nation's Soveriegnty as elected officials in our U.S. Congress trying to get them to meddle in our federal elections. This contrary to the oath they took to Defend and Protect the Constitution of the United States when they took office. They should be facing either Recall or Impeachment proceedings for serious trangression alone as well as 3 Congressman going to an Enemie's homeland to meet with a vile dictator, denounce our country and Executive Branch, while our Country was preparing for War. This Also should considered Treason and Sedition.
A prominent female Senator even went so far to denounce the Executive Branch on Al Jazeera, Last Year's Thanksgiving,(Another Act of Treason and Sedition) also further endangering our troops engaged in a fight for Freedom for the Iraqi's and protecting our Homeland!!!!
Reported by a leftists media that would endanger our troops and all Americans to achieve their leftists aims. They have forgotten truth. They report our strengths as weaknesses and Our Victories as defeats. Their nightly doses of negativity are meant to feed our country fear, hopelessness and helplessness. Their distortions of the truth may well give our young people a feeling of despair.
This Great Nation will survive their nightly attacks, for this Nation's Heart is Good and we know Our Strength!!!! Truth!!!!
