Screen beauty Natalie Portman will consider stripping nude on film if she's offered the right part.
The Star Wars actress once vowed never to bare her flesh on screen - but she confesses she's changed her mind and is prepared to consider stripping.
Portman, 23, says, "I wouldn't say 'no, never'.
"I just think that setting limits on yourself is silly because there might be a day when you change your mind."
She also defends her change of heart, "Consistency is way over-rated. It's much better to flow with the times and the context and see how things change and how you feel.
"I wouldn't say I would never do it but I do think it's rare when it's necessary.
"I guess it would be hard to do Last Tango In Paris without nudity. That's a film that you couldn't have made without it, but it's not a film that I would have wanted to be in."
I could forward an application to The End Zone near here...
I realize that this thread will probably be moved to chat, but how in the hell did you see this and respond within 50 seconds of it being posted?
ping
"I heard the sound of millions of geeks, crying out in anguish and anticipation"
That's what you learn from 4 years at Harvard (she went there)
God I need coffee. I looked at the headline and thought it read "POSTMAN"!!
I thought "has competition with FedEx and UPS got that bad that the post office has to resort to strippers??" LOL!
It sounds like she's channeling J F'n kerry. Is she part of his campaign?
Another one bites the dust
She's been topless in a couple of mags already (paparazzi pics).
Just as long as she doesn't go topless with her new friend Hillary.
I'd consider watching
"Of course, ah, the postmen of prehistoric times would travel sans clothes..."
Another actress on the skids - morally and intellectually. I hardly doubt her skull was filled with her relativist mush at the college she attended. Of course, her statement will boost her stock among the salacious Hollywood producers. Ms. Portman should also start campaigning for Kerry to further enhance her career.
You know what they say -- you spend time with Jar Jar Binks, there's no turning back . . . |
...Portman: 'i'd Consider Stripping'...
God I need coffee. I looked at the headline and thought it read "POSTMAN"!!
I thought "has competition with FedEx and UPS got that bad that the post office has to resort to strippers??" LOL!
Translation: "The Star Wars films are not as successful as expected and my career is not going as well as I'd like. So, I'm going to resort to the low road for staying in the spotlight rather than relying on my limited acting abilities."
Say what you will about Natalie's morality. She's had serious acting chops since she starred in "Leon" (aka "The Professional") at the age of 13.
I'll admit that Star Wars hasn't given her much to work with. Looking for character development in 'Attack of the Clones' is like looking for depth in a kiddie pool. I think that she'll have a long way to go to keep from getting tarred by that role. About the only 'young' star that I think might break out of the latest Star Wars saga is Ewan MacGregor. (I'm not including well-established actors like Christopher Lee and Samuel L. Jackson).
