"MBDA EXOCET SM39 MISSILES
The Agosta 90B is equipped with the torpedo tube launched MBDA (formerly EADS Aerospatiale) Exocet SM39 missile. Target range and bearing data is downloaded into the Exocet's computer. The missile approaches the target area in sea-skimming mode using inertial navigation and then active radar homing. The missile approaches the target at speeds over Mach 0.9 and range is 50km. Exocet has a 165kg high-explosive shaped charge warhead."

Wasn't an Exocet used to sink an English ship during the Fackland war?

Wouldn't a French sub be more of a danger to Al Qaeda than the US?

Didn't the last model come with screen doors and windows?

Just a though.

I am not saying that Bell's guest is correct. Just reporting to Freepers what is being said right now. He is arguing that the French made a deal not only to sell submarines but to build Pakistan a state of the art base to make more. He is claiming the Pakis have two subs now and ar building a third. He also is claiming that we should be very concerned about Pakistan's stability and their naval weapons.

Is this the same base as the one that the French workers were killed by a bomb a year or two ago?

Yes, the HMS Sheffield was damaged off the coast of the Falklands by a Exocet missile fired by an Argentinian Super Etendard (French aircraft which also can operate on the French aircraft-carriers). The ship then burned out and sank while being towed.

Here a story:
