On Page 9 of President Bush enlistment packet there is a dd214 stating clearly that he served in the Air Force and National Guard in block four. This disputes the Democrats latest accusation against Bush that he lied on a campaign poster.

Hey - that's a good find.
We should freepmail the Old Media folks because they are just too darned old and tired to do research themselves. Sigh. We'll just have to do it for them. LOL

This is so stupid. When you are on active duty, even for training, you are on active duty. They are basically saying that the National Guardsmen on active duty in Baghdad tonight are not in the US Army. Pure semantical B.S. crap.
My friend in the Arkansas National Guard is in Baghdad tonight. His uniform has a strip on it that says U.S. Army on it. George Bush's uniform said U.S. Air Force.

It makes you wonder what comes "after this," doesn't it?
If this wasn't the October surprise, we better all start a Valium IV drip.

No research is required. It is a simple fact that the Army National Guard is part of the U.S. Army. Says so right over the pocket on the uniform.

The Dimocrats' harping shows how little almost all the national Dimocraps know about the military. Almost every pilot assigned to an Air National Guard Unit serves first in the Air Force. Both Officer Training School and Undergraduate Pilot Training are ACTIVE DUTY functions. Upon graduation from UPT the pilot is returned to an ANG unit.

It's an incredibly stupid line of attack. Every Army National Guardsman that ever served knows that they were part of the U.S. Army and the same with the Air Force. The Reserves all know that they are part of the parent service as well. Do they expect their semantics to cause some sort of outrage? They are all foaming at the mouth mental.

Well, it would appear we have a preemptive FReep.

This is like being on the front lines. Every few hours, another incoming to shoot down.
Kudos for finding and posting this. To non-military types, it is confusing. Note that Kerry says he served in the Navy. Is that the same type of thing? Did he officially serve in the Navy and in the Naval Reserve?
To: Bogey78O
Awesome. Thank You.
