I am running it but last time I checked Bugmenot was available yet.

I need that baby.

Seems good otherwise.

Try it and you'll see... more stable, less vulnerable, doesn't take your system down with it should it crash, tabbed browsing, built-in search bar, easier to customize... I can't think of one aspect in which IE is better.

What is so special? It's not IE.

What's so special about firefox??? I was skeptical at first, but have grown to love it. FF is now my default browser.

I agree. On all counts.

Some bugs though, my army email service doesnt work properly, its a java mail client. Certain pages that are graphic heavy tends to freeze it, both work flawlessly in IE. Plus minor things such as choosing the location of your download on your computer is kind of annoting. Other than that its a top notch program.

Oh, and the free Opera browser isn't bad, either.

web-based email client

How is Firefox able to do anything with it?

Did Someone write a special interface?

I think you are confused here. I am saying that my java based email client accessed through the army knowledge online portal does not work with firefox for some reason. I dont know why, most other java based apps work with it but this does not. I have also ran into trouble with firefox's cookies, I had to delete the .txt file so I could rerun firefox.

It's very stable, less greedy for resources than IE5 was, at least on my poor old puter, and really only takes a day or so to get used to over IE. I do still miss having an Open command for things that aren't as important and using the URL bar as a second favorites list for URLs used daily, but beyond that, no complaints.

Firefox 1.0 sucks.

I had 0.8 all set up with multiple extensions and a theme I really liked and the v1.0 install blew the whole thing away. It looks like crap and now I have to hunt down and install every single friggin' extension all over again. Whata pain in the @$$. I am not happy. Just in case there's anyone out the who cares.

If you've used Fire Fox maybe you've also used the ThunderBird email client. I can't get the email filters to work.

I create a mail filter. I then hit Run Filters on Folder and nothing happens. I turned on the filter log and it shows that they aren't being run. Also the help button doesn't function in the message filter list dialog.

Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem.

Has anybody solved the multiple tab problem with Free Republic i.e. I always get a new tab when clicking a Free Republic link. I'm using TabX and miniT. Do those affect the way the browser opens tabs? Also, is there an extension to make tabs open adjacent to the tab where a referring link was clicked when multiple tabs are open?
