Does Burkett have a printer?

Why does the media ignore the distinct possibility that Burkett typed these memo's? USA Today and CBS have been in his house. "Hey Bill, while we are visiting, do you mind if we look at your computer? Nice printer. What's on the hard drive Bill?" Seriously, whoever did this is guilty of a felony. Isn't there probable cause for the local sherriff to seach Burkett's house? Can't he be called in for questioning.

If Burkett has a printer, does anyone know, can it be matched up to a specific document. You know, little imperfections, like they do with tracing of guns.

Uhhh Burkett claimed to have made copies of the orginals and then destroyed the originals. So the documents or at least copies of them would be on his hard drive.

That is how he covered his rump.

I think it is quite obvious he "typed" them up himself. Burned the originals in Kinko's parking lot, yeah right!

Not sure about the printer, I know it can be done with copiers, they match up little imperceptible scratch marks from the glass.

Some one has contacted local law enforcement, they say they need a complainant (presumably with "standing") before they can start investigating anyone for any crime.

"What's on the hard drive Bill?"

Oh, come on.
Surely you don't believe that someone smart enough to try and fake the output of a 1970's typwriter on a computer would keep the file on the hard drive afterwords, do you?

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAhahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!! *snort*....*giggle*

Works the same for laser jet printer. Ink jets have imperfections too. They can be changed by changing the ink cartridges. Only documents printed with the same Ink Jet cartriges can be matched.

Dot matrix printer are easily identified.

You are giving that old boy too much credit. Never underestimate the stupidity of a criminal.

Nah, he probably moved the document to the "recycle bin," where it is now permanently lost, never to be seen again.

I would be inclined to check the harddrives at that Kinkos. This guy is pretty dumb. Chances are he typed them out, printed them, copied them and faxed them all in one wild and crazy morning.

Dunno... but if I were him, I's slip a new cartridge in that sucker and clean up the rollers just to be safe.

LOL Good point!
He does seem like the sort who would get caught robing the bank because he was pushing on a pull door.

Or he could just rename the file to something like "Naughty Girls Gone Wild.AVI" No one would think to look there.

Where is John Ashcroft on this one? Hell-o isn't it a Federal crime to forge military documents?

No offense, but I have a printer and I didn't make them.
