AMERICA - The Right Way!! (Day 1350) [Remember the Trade Center!!]

America will NEVER seek a permission slip to defend the security of our country!

Good morning!!

Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!

Senator John Effin Kerry demonstrated last night why he should never be granted admittance to the White House, even as a guest, let alone as President.

First and foremost--there has to be a "global test" to protect America. Get that! If this country had information in its possession that a reasonable person (and remember that's the test that was used and its threshold exceeded for Saddam) could interpret as being a threat, this Nation would forego even the defense of its citizens with John Kerry as President!

Think about this, let it sink in. Now let's make it personal for a moment. You would not be allowed, for example, to take a different way home even if you knew on your normal route there was an individual with a weapon ready to kill you! In John Kerry's world, you would take that route--AND YOU WOULD SURELY DIE! But that's all right--you did not do anything to protect yourself, so you died nobly.

John Kerry had the unmitigated temerity to say the President didn't do every thing he could to protect our soldiers in Iraq, even accusing Mr. Bush of withholding the body armor that would make our soldiers safer under enemy small arms fire. This despite the fact that SENATOR KERRY VOTED AGAINST THE $87 BILLION PACKAGE THAT WOULD HAVE PROVIDED SUCH MATERIEL.

Senator John Effin tried to duck the word "lie" with regard to President Bush, saying he would never reach down to that level and use that term in reference to the President. An interesting show of deference that is most unusual for the Senator. In a September 2003 campaign appearance, Mr. Kerry said: This Administration has lied to us. They have misled us. And they have broken their promises to us. In the Boston Globe, Sen. Kerry was quoted as saying: Bush has lied about his reason for going to war in Iraq... [Source: Patrick Healy, "Kerry Camp Leaves N.H. Expectations Behind in Polls, Senator Now Seeks Spot in Top Two," The Boston Glove, December 18, 2003. Emphasis in original.]

And then there was the quip about the NY Subway being shut down. KERRY: That's why they had to close down the subway in New York when the Republican Convention was there. (Making a point that Bush has been inadequate in protecting America.) FACT: THE NYC SUBWAY DID NOT CLOSE AT ALL DURING THE CONVENTION!

The Senator also is geography, religiously, and ethnically challenged. He made a reference to looking at KGB records in Treblinka Square. TREBLINKA WAS ONE OF THE MOST NOTORIOUS NAZI DEATH CAMPS!

Now some of the minor details--Sen. Kerry stated the Bush tax cut only went to the President and himself! Being fair and realizing that he was using the two of them as a metaphor for the rich, he's still wrong. The tax cut was across the board.

Kerry says we spent $200 billion on the war on Iraq. We've only spent $120 billion. Sen. Kerry only arrived at the higher number by including what has been appropriated by Congress to spend in the future if needs require!

Senator Kerry even seemed to know where Bin Laden was! He indicated he was in Tora Bora and US forces could have nailed him. Problem is, there was no evidence he was there [maybe the Senator would have known this had he bothered to make time to attend intel briefings!].

He still thinks he knows where The Evil One is, making reference several times to his being in Afghanistan--if he knows where Osama is, why doesn't he tell US military forces?

Senator Kerry talks as if bilateral negotiations would work in North Korea. Senator, they were tried. That's how they got the Bomb!

The Senator continued to vacilate on the issue of Iraq--during the 90 minutes he was saying it was the "wrong war," then the right war, then the wrong war, then the right war, then the wrong war, before finishing up with it being the right war (it's difficult counting the flips and flops). On Iraq at the beginning: And he rushed the war in Iraq without a plan to win the peace. Now, that is not the judgment that a president of the United States ought to make. On Iraq at the end: I'm not talking about leaving. I'm talking about winning.

But that statement is another lie. He wants out of Iraq in four years, and starting to pull away in six months. He said so earlier in the debate.

And that's just what can be crammed into an hour's typing this morning. There are certainly others!

Now the end was notable. President Bush respectfully solicit the listeners for their vote, just as he did in the 2000 election. Senator Kerry ended without even bothering to ask. Small point, but it shows a lack of humility on the behalf of the Senator that smakcs of arrogance.

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

Molly, from the NY Post article you linked...

ON the day of the most im portant debate in their political lives, President Bush was in shirt sleeves consoling Florida hurricane victims, patting some on the back, hugging others and shaking hands with the tired relief workers. John Kerry had a manicure.

Last night my 25 y.o. son and I watched the same TV. He was curled up in the Lazy Boy, I was at my desk, FReeping.

Midway thru the debate he said, "These guys obviously had the questions beforehand". I commented there weren't suppose to have them. He countered, "They clearly had the questions ahead of time. I let it pass. Thinking I, with more years of debate watching under my belt, had the advantage in sorting things out.

Now I'm reading others shared his opinion. I don't have time to go back and rewatch the entire 90 minutes. It will be interesting to see if Rush thinks sKerry had the questions ahead of time.

Excerpts from the transcript, in order of their occurrence (you decide):

LEHRER (in his opening remarks): The umbrella topic is foreign policy and homeland security, but the specific subjects were chosen by me, the questions were composed by me, the candidates have not been told what they are, nor has anyone else. [Emphasis added]

KERRY: All of these, and especially homeland security, which we'll talk about a little bit later. [In response to the first question.]

KERRY: "This president has made, I regret to say, a colossal error of judgment. And judgment is what we look for in the president of the United States of America.

LEHRER (in his next question): "Colossal misjudgments." What colossal misjudgments, in your opinion, has President Bush made in these areas?

KERRY: "But the president made a mistake in invading Iraq. Which is worse?"

LEHRER (in his next question): Are Americans now dying in Iraq for a mistake?

KERRY: " So what I'm trying to do is just talk the truth to the American people and to the world. The truth is what good policy is based on. It's what leadership is based on."

LEHRER (in his next question): You just -- you've repeatedly accused President Bush -- not here tonight, but elsewhere before -- of not telling the truth about Iraq, essentially of lying to the American people about Iraq. Give us some examples of what you consider to be his not telling the truth.

KERRY: "So the choice for America is, you can have a plan that I've laid out in four points, each of which I can tell you more about or you can go to johnkerry.com and see more of it; or you have the president's plan, which is four words: more of the same. I think my plan is better. And my plan has a better chance of standing up and fighting for those troops.

LEHRER (in his next question): Speaking of your plan, new question, Senator Kerry. Two minutes. Can you give us specifics, in terms of a scenario, time lines, et cetera, for ending major U.S. military involvement in Iraq?

KERRY: Darfur has a genocide.

LEHRER (not the very next question to Kerry, but the second following): Senator Kerry, you mentioned Darfur, the Darfur region of Sudan. Fifty thousand people have already died in that area. More than a million are homeless. And it's been labeled an act of ongoing genocide.

***************

Now this is a large majority of the questions posited to Sen. Kerry. Either Sen. Kerry has the greatest insight ability on the planet, or....

Good Morning.

What I remember most about Kerry's performance is that he will not protect this country. For instance, his criteria for protecting our interests...our defense against an enemy...is to submit it to a "global test." Letting our enemies, and yes, I include Kofi Annan and the UN in that phrase, decide when and if we can defend ourselves is tantamount to treason.

Another of Kerry's pronouncements that chilled my blood was his "America has lost the confidence of Bin Laden." Who cares what Bin Laden says or thinks about us?

Sure, Kerry's manner and presentation was slick, but WHAT he said is scary and labels him "UNFIT for COMMAND" of our troops or of our country.

I can only imagine what our troops in the field, putting their lives on the line, must be thinking about this creature who wants to "lead" them.

I'm speechless. There is no way this is a coincidence. One question, perhaps, but this many??? No way.

Love Pruden!

My plan was to go to R headquarters this a.m. Have to figure out a couple of things, make an assessment, and see if still possible.

"America has lost the confidence of Bin Laden."

Actually, I couldn't find that in the transcript.

Also in the POST article (as touched upon in your opening summation):

Perhaps the most telling moment was the exchange between the two candidates on the issue of North Korea's nuclear program. Here, Kerry, who harshly criticized Bush for rejecting multilateralism in the leadup to the Iraq war, was equally critical of Bush's insistence on maintaining a multilateral approach in dealing with North Korea today. Consistency is clearly not Kerry's strong suit.

Hello friends: A couple of points which I have posted elsewhere on FR.

My ex-husband, who was undecided before the debate, didn't like that Kerry was denigrating our allies.

On ABC News back in late July, or early August, Kerry called Bush a lier during an interview with George S. Is there any way we can get a copy of this tape?

My 11 year old son's initial reaction (without prompting):
How can the troops trust a man to lead them in a war, when that man thinks the war is wrong?

Many of the Democrat henchman are trying to tone down the Vietnam War, and Kerry goes and mentions it several times. Didn't he read "Unfit for Command?" Additionally, I have met alot of heroes in my lifetime, and NOT ONE was a self proclaimed one.

The liberal media will blah blah blah how Kerry won. But, we know that is simply not true. Bush did a great job. Kerry looked like the lying, cheating, back-stabbing, flip-flopping, dictator coddling, traitor that he is.
