With John Kerry at the debate now becoming a pro-war candidate and alienating about 30-40% of his base, the only anti-war candidate left in the race is Ralph Nader, If you believe we went to war on false pretences and that we should pull out of Iraq and your an anti-war person, you CAN NOT in good conscience vote for John Kerry, Ralph Nader is your only viable choice. To sum it up Kerry just lost the election.
If there is anything like a principled anti-war voter
He did look like a republican war hawk last night didn't he? Red power tie. I will hunt them down and kill them!
I disagree. His base knows what he really thinks (wink, wink) and doesn't mind him saying whatever it takes to tilt the undecided and get elected. They aren't goint to switch because he fibbed a bit. It didn't bother them during the Dem convention, either.
I thought Kerry was smoother, and Bush looked tired and a bit rattled. However, if you look at a couple of Kerry's whoppers in the cold light of day, they are pretty bad, ranging from weak to outrageous. To wit, for starters:
Typo: can "unclear" bunkerbusters shoult be "nuclear"
I'm sorry but I think you smoke to much weed, a republican doesn't call for the cancellation of weapons systems, a republican doesn't attack a sitting president at a time of war while troops are in the field, a Republican doesn't call our allies the coerced and bribed.. I'm sorry we do not agree on a lot of issues, I think you a Kerry or your just trying to get a rise out of me trying to get me all festered...
I said he LOOKED like a republican. Blue suit, white shirt, red power tie. Looked like he went through Bob Dole's closet before the debate. Obvsiously he's a slimeball. But sure, he's doing his best to reach any middle america that he thinks he can with the "look"... and some of the the rhetoric. You don't think he was trying to look conservative last night?
interesting insight, but I don't think these debates will change many minds.
You know, I thought the same thing. I just wonder if Nader can capitalize on and connect with Kerry's anti-war crowd.
LOL... maybe a cleaned up tree huggin', hippie ....
Nader can capitalize if he can get his message out, thats the problem, i think one of the 527's should run Kerry as pro war, and say well their is only one anti-war candidate left, vote your conscience! a 527 can't say vote for Nader but they can give a hint :^D
I hope you're right. Remember, Ronald Reagan lost the first debate to Walter Mondull in '84 and came back to win the election in a landslide.
The more I see Kerry, the angrier I get at the wrong things he stands for. He is a liar by omission, and is not to be trusted.
