I wish I knew how to post photos from video clips, but if you watch a hi-res video of the debate, you will notice how Bush seems like his normal bubbly self until he looks over at Kerry when he is d***ing around with his cheat sheet. You then see his face contort, and he looks angry.
Perhaps our President didn't do as "awful" as many of you thought he did. Perhaps the sky really isn't falling...
Aside from the fact there far to many vanities posted these days on FR ... in part attributable, I'm sure, to the new degree of "excerpted" sensitivity ... which many day to day long time poster types are clueless about ... results in abominations like this article. FreeRepublic ain't what it used to be ...
So then I take it my post offended you?
Take a hike "newbie".
I just found out that both Kerry and Bush belong to the Skull and Bones. If so, that explains some things. They seem to have rules they all go by, no matter which side of the ticket you are on.
The sad thing is - the Socialist Democrat side has pulled a lot of crap and gotten away with so much - unanswered by the other side.
I wonder if one side is still following the rules and the other side, knowing that, is having fun at the nation's expense -
Didn't the same thing happen between Clinton and Dole - weren't they also members of the Skull and Bones - ?
just wondering -
Oh please, you don't really believe this nonsense do you?
The next time I wonder why conservatives are thought to be rude and mean spirited, I will recall your post and say, "ah, I see now."
Not completely - but I am having a hard time dealing with what has happened to the America I love - it's dying a slow, painful death and neither party is doing anything about it. What's a person to do - take it - ? I keep searching for some answers - How did this start? When will it end?
Who will end it?
I sometimes put thoughts down to find out where to search next - if it isn't because of these secret groups(modern) formed around the time of WWII - then why is it happening - America is being torn apart - it's very painful to live through -
By the way - I've seen specials on the clubs and even heard comments lately about the Skull and Bones(that's how I found out both Kerry and Bush are members) -
So - is what is seen on screen and in print fit to print - ? Stranger things have gone on in this world -
take care -
"Take a hike "newbie"."
I am absolutely apalled at this comment. Is this a private Republican club? No. It is free republic. You certainly are a fine example of what I want my party to look like, bud.
Many of us, including me, have lurked on this site for years, and then once adding a screen neame are insulted rather than being welcomed.
Wouldn't you, oldtimer, like to educate anyone who is willing to stand up for American Values, in the hopes of helping others open their eyes???
Try courtesy, consideration, and a little patience while us "newbies" learn our place according to YOUR rules.
You, sir, will not be considered a Republican in my eyes until you can recognize that we want MORE and MORE people to find this site, become enlightened, and possibly change the error of their ways.
Shame on you.
What is this "newbie" night at the races?
what specifically bothers you about new people joining>
Try not to sound so Blu. He posted this under vanity and in the form of a question not as a hard fact. One must have a question before one investigates for facts. A question is meant to stir up thought and I think it is possible that if President Bush saw blatant cheating it put him off balance. He is a man of Honor and would have been appalled by blatant cheating. He would have to decide whether to expose it or let it go. It could certainly explain the strained look on his face. I have never seen the President seem so distracted while in the public eye and this an was important debate. Many felt he seemed distracted right away before this cheating stuff came out. It is important question because it pertains to the unlikely outcome of an important debate.

You have 5 of the first 15 replies. That takes up bandwidth.
This is really uncalled for, don't you think?

We want Free Republic to grow, not to turn people off.
The rape of freedom bugs him. In this case the rape of a free press -- of the historic right to post articles for the purpose of public criticism and commentary.
You might be right. Good take on it.
Refer to response #15 ... thank you.
