Ummm I'm struggling a little bit right now with my faith and with this thread. I have many liberal friends (and some family) that are not like what you describe at all. Maybe the other guy was right that we are all individuals... I know they don't listen to me when I talk to them about Jesus, but I have to accept that because I accept tolerance (one of the best lessons he taught me). They don't try and influence me either though at all because they accept my love for Christ. Should we really be attacking them? They are our fellow countrymen aren't they? I see a lot of attacks that are creating a division, but didn't Bush tell us he wants to unify America (at the beginning of his presidency).
I don't want to be afraid of the liberals, because fear just means that they might be right about something. I KNOW what I believe in and I'm not afraid to hear other ideas. THAT, I think, is the only basis for a strong faith... I know I disagree with what they think, but they have a right to think it don't they? I just don't want to be the one throwing stones ...
