In his own words (click the link to hear actual audio):
"Weve been waiting since 1918 for the Boston Red Sox to win the World Series, and . . . if I had a choice between the White House and the World Series this year, Im going to take the White House. How's that?"
Sen. John Kerry - Taylor, MI - August 1, 2004

Kind of a stupid thing to say, huh? Why not "This year, the series AND the White House?" What a schmuck.

Sure, he says that in Taylor, Michigan, where it's safe; I'd like to hear him say that in Boston.

I'm observing this from an ocean away, but even to me, this seems like an incredibly stupid remark to make to Red Sox fans. Kerry should lose Massachusetts with this remark.

Red Sox co-owner Tom Werner (hollywood honcho) was seen on TV praising Sen. Kerry, next to a bunch of signs that said "Red Sox-Kerry-Believe". Yuck; I am a Red Sox fan and pushing for a big World Series victory--AND a big Kerry defeat!!
