I am preparing my absentee ballot and have no idea who to pick on the Superior Court vacancies, and a number of the propositions. Any Freepers out there have this stuff figured out? Please advise.
I had the same thing on my FL ballot. I chose yes on the judges that Jeb Bush (republican) appointed and no to the judges that the previous gov. (a dummycrap) appointed.
I don't think I've received any information about judges whatsoever.
I haven't used these fully, but these sites were recommended by a friend. Caveat... votor.
Placer County: www.placer-cra.org
Sacramento County, www.preserveliberty.com
I think one or both sites has/have links to other sites. I plan to consult those when it comes to making our choices.

No Superior Court judges on my ballot, so I'm ignorant of any of the races.
But here's my take on the Propositions:
1A - Yes
59 - Yes
60 - Yes
60A - Yes
61 - No
62 - NO!!!!!
63 - No
64 - Yes
65 - Yes
66 - No
67 - No
68 - Yes
69 - No
70 - No
71 - No
72 - NO!!!
My choices differ slightly from the CA GOP recommendations found here: http://www.cagop.org/
Part of the problem with being a Californian, is that the race is often called for President before they even begin to count our votes. That happened in 2000. They called for Gore when there were still polling places open in the Florida panhandle. I was in Yorba Linda California calling people to get out and vote. It is a conservative area. I actually reached people who refused to go vote, because of the call for Gore. They said their vote didn't matter. One guy was actually crying.
I'm sorry I can't be helpful with the Judges, but it would be better if you voted early rather than absentee.
Thank you Rocket and everybody for your tips.
I was told by a trustworthy gal, who is a poll supervisor in South Orange County, CA, that the absentee ballots that are mailed/recieved before election day, are stacked, ready to be opened and counted in the AM of election day, as the workers are waiting for ballots from polls to arrive for counting. Also, that the absentee ballots that are dropped off at a poll, are counted last.
