I am so disgusted by all of this. How I wish that Brit Hume was simulcast over all Fox tv stations. After flipping through the MSM 6:30 newscasts, I can tell you, they are gonna pound this to the very end. And I think the White House has dropped the ball by not forcefully coming out blazing at this story. After watching Blather and Brokejaw ( I missed the canuck ) I have the most sinking feeling in my stomach. I will still be going door to door here in Manatee county Friday, Saturday & Monday, and waving signs Tuesday. But man I feel crappy and disheartened right now. I hope we all here at FR can offer support to each other during this final, hectic, MSM attack filled week.

Rooster, I do not think this story has the kind of easily grasped resounence (sp??? I can't spell, sorry) to really do damage. I, myself, tune out any story that deals with weapons, armaments, etc. I couldn't tell you what weapons systems Kerry voted against, except maybe all of them. This story may penetrate the male mind, but all of those guys are going to vote for Bush (or Kerry) anyway. I don't think the "security moms" are going to even hear it.

Don't mistake me for an optimist, I'm not. This is just my opinion on this. And, btw, if this was the big October Suprise, it's a pretty pathetic attempt, AND they blew the delivery.

The reason is because they don't exactly know what happened to those explosives/weapons. They can't jump on it and say difinitively they weren't there and then some reporter somewhere pull out a picture. That would be much worse.

I think the President doesn't want to look like Kerry - going off half-cocked all the time.

The Republicans have responded several times to this, and so has NBC. I think you need to wait a couple of days and see how this plays out. There is the concept of letting them take it, hook, line and sinker you know. ;-)
