The AP has dredged up the National Guard story one more time. I can't believe it. Even from these guys, I can't believe it!
"AP: New Bush Guard Papers Leave Questions"

Which people "don't know"? You know. I know. click around the site, lots of people know. So exactly which people "don't know"?
Who should the GOP be aggressive with? Should they spend money trying to convert rabid Kerry supporters, on the basis of this one issue? Should they spend money trying to reassure Bush supporters, who will vote for him regardless of this issue? Or should they waste money targeting that illusive group of "undecideds" (who, by the way, are still "undecided" because they just don't pay attention to anything political and really don't care.)
My gut feeling is you really want the GOP to spend money just to reassure you.
That would probably be best. Your own sense of defeatism might eventually rub off on me. I will leave you to wallow in your own sense of despair.
"What makes me think its manipulation...."
Some stock pundit type had a very serious-minded article the other day (it was on National Review Online, I think, maybe Opinion Journal, it might have been posted here, but I read it elsewhere, sorry I can't remember the author's name) putting forth the proposition that the Iowa market was being manipulated, and speculating that it might be Soros who was doing so. He went so far as to contact the people who run it, but they maintained that any such action was "fair play" so far as they were concerned. They did not, I don't think, admit that such shenanigans were happening.
For what it's worth! I don't pay too much attention to market punditry, but I can sometimes struggle through it, unlike armaments punditry!
Cmon everybody, don't give the DUmmies reasons to gloat. They are pouring over these threads like never before, and you are only giving them the fuel they need.
Have faith!
"[T]hose who support Bush are not swayed by the story. Those who support Kerry would believe anything that he says. Those that are "undecided" didn't read a newspaper or watch the news today...so they don't even know about the story."
Yep, I think you've summed it up quite accurately. The media are talking to themselves in their echo-chamber. The DUI story, last time around, had a big effect because it was a simple issue, easily understood (and related to) by everyone and anyone. This one is pretty esoteric, boring, and confusing. That's why Chrissy Matthews tried to break through Jane Sixpack's mind by asking "are these explosives being used to blow off our solider's legs?" (I paraphrase). But even I only heard THAT sound bite on Mark Levin's radio show.
The NY Times could come out on election day with a story that Bush roasts babies and eats them for breakfast, with a side order of fried grandma brains, and I will still vote for him.
SORRY IF THAT OFFENDED ANYBODY!
It's not the story itself that I want to see Bush attack kerry on so much as it is the facts around it.
Kerry mentioned this "ammo dump" on Oct 10 during the debate. Don't you all remember?
What this story shows is the corruption and collusion of MSM and the Kerry campaign. This is illegal.
For what it's worth! I don't pay too much attention to market punditry, but I can sometimes struggle through it, unlike armaments punditry!
I'll wait and see where it settles out. Maybe its just coming to a point that is closer to the actual outcome of the election. Time will tell.
