I don't think the geek community overall is that liberal. I know quite a few that are diehard conservative. It just a certain segment of the anti-Microsoft, anti-establishment, Linux-fanatic types that seem to frequent Slashdot.

Don't bother - /. is just a collective of smarmy elitists that never grew up. Kind of like the DNC. Every time anyone on there opens his mouth about anything of substance, you can count on a lot of fecal matter coming out.

The children should stick to vim vs. emacs holy wars, and let the grown-ups run the country.
