Crap! First the election was DOOOOOOOOOOMED and now the Administration is DOOOOOOOOOMED! If only we'd lost the election. We'd be in much better shape!

Wishful thinking. These people are not patriots, they are ideologues.
To: Captain Peter Blood
Uh huh, and the Redskins game before the election predicts the outcome, high turnout favors Kerry, and the exit polls predict a Bush defeat. When substance isn't on your side, it's time to start rubbing the rabbits foot.

" The bottom line was that Liberals have nothing to fear from Bush as nothing of any consequence will be accomplished..." Nothing to fear other 3 or 4 Supreme Court Appointments and a continued PROACTIVE war on terror. I'll take this "lame duck" any day.
quack quack dammit.

sh's DOOM will be his great victory in the WOT! (because we all know they don't want us to succeed.) You're right that they don't want us to succeed. I just watched a panel discussion on C-Span of "journalists" discussing the election results. They were unhinged.
The panel consisted of Pat Buchanan and a bunch of libs (There were a couple of people I didn't recognize who didn't say anything so maybe they weren't libs).
The lefties were visibly upset with the Bush win. Jonathan Alter actually said, in an attempt to comfort his fellow panelists, that history shows that most second-terms are catastrophic. He was actually trying to cheer them up with the idea that the country would go through a catastrophe.

Its funny, the successes of the past may be the undoing of this prediction. Reps know they are in for constant rectal exam. Therefor you assume you are going to get it and move on. GWB made it through first administration being hit with charge after charge only to have them evaporate under the weight of the truth finally getting out.
So, what could be worse then this last year? The dems are hoping we will eat our own. And they are right. But, there is still hope. If George just stays George and doesn't worry about trying to be anything else, he should be fine.

...that Bush will have some sort of scandal in his second term. The 'Rat machinery is already planning it, getting all their ducks in a row and will unleash it sometime within the next year. Count on it.

Pessimism is, in brief, playing the sure game. You cannot lose at it; you may gain. It is the only view of life in which you can never be disappointed. Having reckoned what to do in the worst possible circumstances, when better arise, as they may, life becomes child's play.

First, we have enough on the Dims to keep them at bay. Second, we have K.R. and from what he said yesterday and tonight, there is nothing the dims can do. Third, who for God's sake, listens to anything the MSM -- especially CNN, has to say. Anyway.

Bush's second term should be called "Bush Unleashed" because now he can do all the stuff he may have been shy about doing in his first term because he knew the scumbag socialist "old media" would beat him up about it relentlessly. Let's hope that Bush starts slashing government spending -- put an end to some of the many government handout programs, cut the deficit and privatize Social Security. No reason at all now for all this not to happen.

Hmmm...they [Democrats] want social programs? Let's start with therapy to correct their glee/desire for bad news.
I guess after that, they'll be Republicans...yeah, that'll work...

The bottom line was that Liberals have nothing to fear from Bush as nothing of any consequence will be accomplished and/or scandal of some kind will bring down and diminish his Presidency. But they have a little problem, as in "The Times, They Are a'Changing".
CBS/Rather/NYT did their pathetic best to sink Bush, but they don't have a monopoly on the news anymore. Dan Rather's hoax was exposed within hours of his Memogate debacle, and CBS/NYT made laughingstocks of themselves with the 2nd attempted October surprise. They've lost the news monopoly, but they don't realize it yet.

El Rushbo had a montage today of various Leftwing media outlets repeating these new DNC talking points of the "Failures of Second Term Presidents" to try and handicap President Bush's second term from the get-go. LAME.

Give the liberal left a little bit of time and just like C-BS, they will find reports on what made their 2nd terms all wrong. I bet Rather will be the first to report it too.
