President Bush answers questions during a press conference Monday at the White House in Washington, D.C. The hour-long question-and-answer session focused on the problems with the war in Iraq, criticism of Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld, federal spending and prospects for peace in the Middle East.

May I add "Happy First Day of Winter"

I'm on active pajama-warrior duty this morning, googling, researching, cross-linking etc.

That can suck you into the internet for hours

Been there done that :0)

Best we enjoy it while we can - they're talking about showers tomorrow and Christmas day; but it takes a pretty good front to make it down to the CenTex.

Cheers, guys.

It's currently 51° here (10:30 am) sunny, and forecast to get to 58° today. No fog this morning, which makes me happy. When it is socked in here in the morning, the cold just seeps in and is soooo uncomfortable. It'll be a nice day for a walk.

It's not bad here right now, but it is supposed to get really cold again over the next couple of days.

"Really cold" here means upper 20's, which happens a few times every winter. "Uncomfortable" happens often - we've had fog and mid-thirties temps in the morning. The fog means 100% humidity - the cold just seeps into the bones. When it's sunny like this, it's a lot more comfortable. There was frost this morning, but once the sun comes up, it warms up fairly quickly.

That next cold front is pushing to the south though. I'm enjoying the break in it, but I'm afraid it isn't going to last. I just hope there's no snow for our planned outings.

I've seen all I need to see. Now to write a couple of coherent paragraphs about it and be done with it.

You just know that at some of these press interrogations conferences, the president has to be thinking, "these people have some nerve calling ME dumb."

Popping in and out here

Well I just told Jess that if she continued to try and ruin Dana's Christmas by telling her there was no such thing as Santa .. after I told her a million times to stop it! ... then I would ruin her Christmas by not giving her any damn Christmas gifts

Hopefully she picked up the hint this time :0)

Actually my day has been spent trying to right the computer: the free version of BitDefender did such a splendid job of removing 28 virii from the machine that I thought I'd show my gratitude by purchasing their "Professional" version...now everything's screwed up.

No good deed going unpunished here.

Cheers up there.

Westy, I'm just sitting here waiting to go to granddaughter's Christmas program at school. I know what you mean about dozing. For the past week, everytime I sit down, I just want to catch a few winks. Last evening, I went to sleep in front of the tv for two hours, woke up for thirty minutes and went right back to bed. It must be the weather.
