Bring your own "Major Award" leg lamp to put in the front window. The house where Ralphie got his Red Ryder Air Rifle is up for sale on E-Bay!

(be warned, this is not the best of neighborhoods in Cleveland)

You'll have to put up a fence to keep out Bumpas's dogs.

How was the house used? Exterior shots only, with the interior ones done in studio, or were the interiors shot there as well?

Too bad they've started the renovation. This could be a real moneymaker as a Christmas Story retro museum, complete with original movie's working kitchen and bathroom.

I lived in Cleveland when the movie was made. All shots are exterior only.

I remember that they left the Christmas decorations up through March in Public Square downtown so they could film the outside sequences of the Christmas parade. It was wild.

If you watch the movie, downtown Cleveland doesn't even look like that anymore and Higbees (which was an actual store) closed as well.

As a Clevelander, it's fun to watch. I did my time working in downtown at the BP America building. That was not built when the movie was filmed either.
