Let's make this the official "post your pictures of Bush on a horse"-thread. In all the pictures I've seen of him, and thanks to the excellent "day in the life"-threads it's quite a number, I have yet to see a single one in which he's on a horseback. Does he even keep any at his ranch? The photo ops with Barney are cute and all, but c'mon, seeing a man play with his dog gets kinda stale after a while, and it isn't even that manly to begin with. So if there's a reason I ain't seen him with no horses yet I'd like to know it, 'cause the other day I even saw Cheney riding back home. Now that shows me he's got his priorities right in life. If you're from Wyoming and don't go put a real good horse between your knees when you can, there's something seriously wrong with you.

My kind of president would know that if you can't do it from a horse, it's hardly worth doing. So my question is, is Bush that kind? I'm sorry, but if he ain't you can hardly call him a cowboy and have it amount to much more than wishful thinking. A hat alone makes no cowboy, and come to think of it, even them I don't see him in enough. And all too often when I do, it's that silly businessman-brim. A real cowboy would have no qualms about wearing his 6-incher to the White House - or to a state dinner with frog-eating frenchmen for that matter.
Until I see proof of otherwise, I'll believe this here was our last cowboy president - and he wasn't even from Texas:

And this man of course needs no introduction:

Even found one of Coolidge, back in the days:

I'll tag this on at the end as well, just for the sake of it:

Alright, that's Cheney, Reagan, Roosevelt, Coolidge and LBJ. Now, who will be the first to post a good one of Bush? I'd do it myself if I could find one, but the only thing I could come up with was this, and it hardly qualifies:

Come 2008, let's get Red Steagall to run for President.
There are a lot of ranchers who are not horse people.
Yup. The pickup truck is the locomotion of choice amongst most ranchers I know.
Bush knows how to rope a dope. He has a string of Jackasses, the Democrats in Congress, hogtied.
Are you the official keeper of the ponyping?
They have no horses, and even the girls apparently never had one. That's the strange part. Teenage girls who don't at least ~want~ a horse....

I saw an old clip of Bush on TV once, riding a horse. This was a clip from before he was President. I know this doesn't help you...
Anyway, he does call himself a "windshield cowboy."
Sad that Barbara and Jenna never had a little equine fuzzball of their own.....
Hell, I could ride before I could walk.
LOL! You know.... that picture alone could kill your chances of a Supreme Court appointment ;~D
"LOL! You know.... that picture alone could kill your chances of a Supreme Court appointment ;~D"
I will then send Fuzzette to stomp on those who deny me my rightful seat of the Supreme Court!
She will be helped by her older and bigger brother; Fuzzy, The Wonder Horse!
~smiles~
I am from Wyoming, and I have never ridden a horse...or even been on a ranch, for that matter.
So, what kind of mental disorder to you suppose I have?
Sheesh.
I am not all that concerned that W is not a horseman, but I am just uncomfortable around teenage girls with probably ample opportunity who never wanted to ride. It ain't natural ;~D
Oops ;~D
That's okay. :) I never said I didn't want to ride one, just that I never have. Whenever the opportunity presented itself (very few times) I was unable. And those times were AFTER I left Wyoming. I was pg, so I felt uncomfortable about riding a horse when I had zero experience, kwim?
Maybe, one day, I'll get another chance.
