there was a movie called the Red Sun, with some no-name actors I saw as part of a double feature with John Wayne's McQ (a cop classic). It was fascinating in my youth, anyway. Chinese guy and a cowboy go after the bad guys.

Although you call them no-names, Red Sun starred Charles Bronson and Toshiro Mfune (spelling?). We all know Bronson, but Mfune was probably the most famous Japanese actor of the twentieth century. I believe he starred in lots of Korosawa's greatest movies.
