Big day today. Went for a trail ride with some folks from our barn - about 7 miles through Kennesaw Mt. Battlefield Park - not counting the time we spent cantering around the big fields. Gracie was of course a perfect lady - even when we startled a bunch of deer and they spooked everybody. Somebody moved all the fallen trees so there was nothing to jump ( - bah humbug :-( -) except for one pine log part way across a trail -- we jumped that one to death in both directions.
Then tonight we had an early New Year party with all the "barn ladies" - lots of food, door prizes, and our hostess who is a whiz with a digital camera made a Power Point montage complete with audio of everybody with their horses. It was CUTE - we watched it all twice.

Sounds like fun. I'm taking off tomorrow, mainly to help Mack get the books done for the year. But I'm definitly going to try and sneak off for an hour or so to ride. Suppose to be in the upper 60's.
