Just comparing the backfields. I'll take the Mawae/Hoke matchup any day of the week.

The only matchup I see that is CLEARLY in Pbgh's favor is the Three Wide set Vs. NYJ nickel, with Burres,Ward, and Randle El on the field.

Ball Control, Will determine this game, and if Pbgh couldnt keep the Jets from moving the sticks last time out, a healthier Pennington will kill them if they go 8 in the box to stuff the run.

Nah the Vikes and Rams beat them out for that title. The Jets are at least as good as Atlanta, too.

HUH? 17-6! Two field goals was moving the sticks?

OK

Jets can beat - or lose to - any team in the league, any week.

Are you talking about the game where the Jets only scored two field goals & Pennington threw 3 INTs?

Yes but that was when Pennington came back from an injury. Obviously the pain in his shoulder has subsided (see Jets vs. Chargers). Pennington is better than Ben Rothleisberger

Agreed. But it might not be that way for long.

Again, I hate the Steelers. But they have a much better team. 15-1 is not a fluke.

And where the officiating crew kept pushing the jets backwards, when the encroached on Pbgh territory in the first half.

I like a Colts, Jets game for the AFC championship.

Especially because it would take place in Indianapolis!

I was at the Jets/Colts game in the Meadowlands. Remember? 41-0. One of Manning's finest moments. And Pennington

GB/Indy 2002 = Pitt/NE 2004.

About to find out how ON Pennington can be.

I'm no Jimmy the Greek, but here's how I see the playoff games going this weekend.

N.Y. Jets at Pittsburgh
Barring a natural disaster, I think the Steelers will walk away with this one. Minimum 14 point advantage to them. They're just that good.

St. Louis at Atlanta
Fairly evenly-matched. I think the advantage goes to the Rams by a field goal, but I'll be rooting for Atlanta.

Minnesota at Philadelphia
Apart from an Act of God, Minnesota is going to get spanked so hard that their butts will glow in the dark. I'll be rooting for the Purple People Eaters, but Philadelphia has a far better defense than Minnesota and their offense is formidable. I figure Philadelphia will will by at least 10 points...more if the Minnesota defense collapses before the end of the first half.

Indianapolis at New England
Tough one to call. New England has legacy on their side, but they've made some collosal errors of late, even getting beat by the Miami Dolphins in the regular season. When the entire offense steps up to Manning's will-to-win, Indianapolis is a lean, mean scoring machine. I'm going to go with the Colts to win by a touchdown.
