Ever wanted to say "I love you" and never found the words? Well now you can buy a plant that says it for you.

Two Japanese manufacturers, toy makers Tomy and Takara, have both produced bean plants which sprout to reveal a special message.

Takara said its plant was "a new type of message card to convey your feelings to your loved ones", according to the French news agency AFP.

The gift comes with a choice of six different messages such as "Good Luck" and "I Love You" inscribed through the plant with a laser beam.

Tomy's offering features beans set in a white egg which "hatch" soon after they are put in water. The plants have a message in French on one side, and a message in Japanese on the other.

"You can have the fun of fortune telling, as you don't know what message will come out until the bean sprouts," Tomy told AFP.

Both plants will be on sale in February.

Those Japanese are some wacky people. Ever watch "Super Milk-Chan" on Adult Swim (Cartoon Channel)?

I have tried, and I still haven't figured that one out yet lol! (although it is extremely entertaining when you are .. uh.. under the influence ;)

I must admit I am a big fan of Inuyasha and BigO..

The plants have a message in French on one side, and a message in Japanese on the other.

The French message, "I surrender!"

I think they're all like that. There's some other really popular Japanese cartoon out that I have no clue about. It came out as a regular movie, and I took and kid and had NO idea what the movie was about. The kid loved it. Go figure.

Oh, you would have to watch it. I can't even begin to desribe what it's about or if it's about anything. It seems like this little chick, hanging out with a robot, who talks to her president on the phone alot, and goes on special missions for the government. Her catch phrase seems to be "You Dumbass!". You'd really have to watch it to see how strange it is.

LOL!

If they inscribe 'proper' French, it will include all the correct terms - surrender, run, I give up, etc. :)

LOL! I think Inuyasha looks like a big human/cat hybrid. He has cat ears but he's human. They should have called it Kitty Boy. And that sword is just too big for a human to be carrying around.

That's strange that inuyasha would have features of a cat since the Japanese word "inu" in English means "Dog".

The plants have a message in French on one side, and a message in Japanese on the other.

Perhaps this is a polite Japanese way of respectfully telling any French love interest to "utilisez le désodorisant".

Yeah, I kind of thought they were intending him to look like a dog. But he looks like a cat to me.
