It is indeed unfortunate that holistic medicine has a bad name. To many of its practicioners don't really understand what they are doing, so they contribute to the problem.

It is also a shame that too many holistic doctors perpetuate a fraud upon their patients. You lose either way. Too many people go to the doctor looking for attention when they really need a few hours in the therapist chair. My mother-in-law included. We fix the state of mental health and family dysfunction in this country and many illnesses people have or think they have will go away.
