What's the fuss about sharkfin (3Com) cable modems???

OK, people...
I don't know why people seem to trash the old 3Com sharkfin modem...
I've had one for the last 4 years, including 3 speed upgrades, and it seems to work fine for me.
Since this is apparently a subjective item, I'd like to know the opinion of cable internet users here in FR, including those who still use the sharkfin.

I hold a few 3Com certs, but I'm not familiar with the Sharkfin. However, I've never heard anything derogatory about them in IT circles. Granted, that isn't an 'opinion', but a 'no foul, no harm' observation.
