Keanu dealt with a couple big deaths in last five years, so no wonder he'd brood.
His long term girlfriend was pregnant, but the baby was stillborn, then she died in a car wreck a short time thereafter.
Everyone I know who knows of Keanu says hes a very decent guy by any standard.
Not a hollyweird guy.

I'd be depressed too if I were a Canadian. Actually, Reeves was born in Beirut, Lebanon (of all places). He moved with his mother and sister briefly to New York, then to Toronto.

In December of 1999, Reeves had a daughter with actress Jennifer Syme. Eva Archer Syme-Reeves was stillborn and in April of 2001, Jennifer Syme was killed in an automobile accident. She was buried next to their daughter in the Westwood Village Memorial Park Cemetery in Los Angeles
