Under President Bill Clinton Attorney General Janet Reno sent in federal marshalls to rip Elian Gonzales from Florida relatives and send the boy back to Cuba.
WHY then, isn't President Bush urging Atty. General Alberto Gonzales to send federal marshals to Terri's side and protect her from a questionable guardian appointed by a judge who flagrantly violated House subpoenas???
This highly questionable "guardian" is allowed to be in Terri's room giving orders to everyone nearby.
This is INSANE!!! Where are you, President Bush????!! We need more than your signature on a bill. We need immediate action through your attorney general.
After the house passes the bill, & Bush signs it - then send in the US MArshals...
Ya know, I think that will eventually happen, wish it was right now!
.....Amen!!!
Bush is on it. Just watch.
I AGREE!SEND IN THE MARSHALS NOW!!!
Thats right and this forum was up in arms on how wrong it was. Is this 2 wrongs make a right?
"After the house passes the bill, & Bush signs it - then send in the US Marshals..."
The problem is that Terri is now running a high fever due to an infection developed from the tube removal. There are forces at work wanting her to die asap. She needs immediate protection while Congress haggles!

A Knife in the Dark
From Blogs for Terri please pass this on.
Urgent Update:
March 20, 2005
Terri Groggy and Unresponsive: High fever last night likely due to infection caused by improper removal of the feeding tube
According to a trusted source, Terri developed a high fever last night, most likely due to infection caused by improper removal of the feeding tube... she is groggy and unresponsive, and may not make it much longer.
So PLEASE GET THIS OUT ASAP...DIRECT CONGRESSIONAL REQUEST!!!!
Please if you have a fax machine take a moment and contact by fax the offices of Congressman Robert Wexler: 19th District of Florida - FAX 202 225-5974
Email here
and Earl Blumenauer - FAX 202 225-8941, Email here
Their voice mails are already full! These two are going to oppose the legislation today that will save Terri Schiavo. Please stress the following: (copy and paste if needed or write your own message)
This is NOT about interfering in states' rights. It is the job of the Federal Government to ensure that State Law is followed and that Terri Schiavo and others like her receive their right of due process, which to this point, has been denied. The federal amendment will ensure that Terri and other disabled people like her will receive a review of the procedures followed by state courts - a right everyone is entitled to, especially in matters of life and death.
Please stand up for the life of those who are unable to speak for themselves and pass the Incapacitated Persons' Legal Protection Act without delay. To allow Terri to die based on the hearsay testimony of a husband who has abandoned her, a lawyer who is a euthanasia advocate - and a judge who has allowed both state and federal law to be broken would be a gross travesty of justice. Judicial tyranny in this country must end!!
Most of all - please pray for Terri Schiavo.
Because George Bush has a lot more respect for the legal process than Bill Clinton?

After Bush signs the bill the Federal Appelate Court is waiting to receive a brief and act on it.
Of course their action will probably be to declare the new law an unconstitutional 'Bill of Attainder' and throw the whole thing out.

<< Under President Bill Clinton Attorney General Janet Reno sent in "federal marshalls" to rip Elian Gonzales from Florida relatives and send the boy to Cuba.
WHY then, isn't President Bush urging Attorney-General Alberto Gonzales to send Federal Marshals to Terri's side and protect her from a questionable guardian appointed by a judge who flagrantly violated House subpoenas??? >>
That's because Janet Reno was a KKKli'tonista stooge -- an organized-crime-family apparatchik at the lowest, rudest and crudest "made-man" level [Think Goodfellers/Casino/Joe Pesci] and could and would do her capo's bidding whether that bidding involved mass murder [EG: Waco Texas] or child kidnapping and abduction. [Elian]
And President Bush knows the difference between mobbed-up racketeering and Constitutional Republicanism.
Bill Clinton was a power grabbin' whore. President Bush is a law abiding man.
If the Federal Courts strike down this Congressional legislation, this whole Congressional 3 hour circus will have been a waste of everyones time.
Sending in federal marshalls would violate no law, especially given the fact that Judge Greer flagrantly snubbed a House subpoena.
Doing nothing to protect Terri now - while Congress haggles for hours on end - is wrong.
No, two wrongs do not make a right. That is not my point.
What Atty. Gen. Reno did was wrong because it was cruel and child abuse.
In this case no one will be harmed by sending in federal marshals.
Too many people have the mistaken idea that judges are gods who can do no wrong and whatever they say is the law. Some act like the executive and legislative branches must bow to judges. That is ludicrous. The other two branches are supposed to counter-balance the judiciary when it gets out of control.
This judge broke the law and therefore, Congress and the President have the right to act.
I just noticed an insane poll on MSNBC asking people if they think Terri's tube should be reinserted. So far most are saying it should not (assuming MSNBC isn't fudging the results, that is).
If you want to vote, here it is: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3080261/
I wonder why I don't trust their poll? Ummmm....
Elian's mother wished for him to have freedom, and it was denied by the government. For the libs to have consistency on this, Schiavo's husband must also have his wish denied by the government.
She needs immediate protection while Congress haggles!
"Guardian" Michael is allowed to be in Terri's room giving orders to everyone nearby.
Others are telling us to relax, & that any new law will still have to go through the courts... La - dee - daw... while Terri suffers, & may perish...

This Florida circuit Judge Greer has broke the law and therefore, Congress and the President have the right to act to save Terri's life and to offer Terri immediate protection.
Michael Schiavo has proven his disgust of Terri; - and The Schindler Family has proven their love for Terri.
Michael Schiavo does NOT deserve our pity, but Terri definitely deserves our help!
To All: - For a good indication of Terri's true condition - suffering from a brain disability - yes; but otherwise, certainly alive and responsive to her parents, read the following article:
"This past Christmas Eve day, 2004, I went to visit Terri Schiavo with her parents, Bob and Mary Schindler, her sister, her niece, and Attorney David Gibbs III. The visit took place at the Woodside Hospice for about 45 minutes just before noon..."
A Must Read: A Visit With Terri Schiavo - by Attorney Barbara Weller - Christmas yEve day, 2004 (Post #46 - by Pegita)
...She then returned to interacting with her mother. When her mother was close to her, Terris whole face lit up. She smiled. She looked directly at her mother and she made all sorts of happy sounds. When her mother talked to her, Terri was quiet and obviously listening. When she stopped, Terri merely random or reflexive at all. There is definitely a pattern 1of Terri having a conversation with her mother as best she can manage...
MEDIA: Call the Gibbs Law Firm Media Director, Mr. Keith Brickell, at O:727-399-8300 or C:727-458-4824 to arrange an interview with Attorney David Gibbs III or Attorney Barbara Weller.

I saw on another thread earlier that her fever has subsided and she's OK.
