Techno Rocker Moby Weighs in on Schiavo Case
MSNBC ^ | 3.24.05 | Jeanette Walls

Posted on 03/24/2005 6:40:19 AM PST by gopwinsin04

Moby says he doesn't want to be drawn into the Terri Schiavo case, but writes on his Web site:

'My note to the far-right would be: You cant have it both ways.

If you genuinely believe in the sanctity of life then you cannot support the death penalty and you cannot allow people to buy automatic assault weapons and you cannot support wars that result in the deaths of hundreds of thousands of innocent people.

And if you genuinely believe in state's rights then you cant pass intrusive federal legislation when the states do things you arbitrarily disagree with.'

I won't be completely satisfied until Mischa Barton, Don Knotts, and the drummer for Whitesnake weighs in.

He's going to tell us what sanctity of life and states' rights mean when he has never been acquainted with the concepts. Riiiiight.

Hey Mobi- it goes the other way as well. Where is your crackpot anti-gun anti-death penalty anti-war friends outrage on this?

You sir, are a fruit.

Say my tagline in front of a mirror. Replace "you're" with "I'm". Say it 10 to 15 times every morning. By the way, your music sucks, too...you did know that, right?

He's a semi-famous celebrity

Really?

I had never heard of him until he began shilling for Democrats.

Moby is obviously irritated about Terri getting all the press. So he has to make a 'look at me' statement.

He needs his diaper changed. There is a mighty stink coming from his direction.

This has-been's hypocrisy is astonishing.

If YOU value life Moby, you can't be both against the death-penalty AND support abortion.

How is one circumstance killing, but the other is not?

If you genuinely believe in the sanctity of life then you cannot support the death penalty - yes you can - a vicious murdering sociopath deserves his fate - an unborn child or innocent person does not

and you cannot allow people to buy automatic assault weapons - sure you can - they can PREVENT from themselves and others getting murdered by the abovementioned sociopathic maniac

and you cannot support wars that result in the deaths of hundreds of thousands of innocent people - I guess it's better to support a regime that supports terrorism and gasses his own people to death??

And if you genuinely believe in state's rights then you cant pass intrusive federal legislation when the states do things you arbitrarily disagree with - well...I don't NECESSARILY agree here but I think the state was incorrectly wielding their power in this and other cases...that's a toughie

Moby, nobody wants your opinion you PETA-loving, Michael Stipe lookalike freak...

Is this 2005 or 1861? I had to look at my calendar to make sure.

If you're referring to Cozy Powell, you're going to have a long wait.

If we go along with Terri Shiavo being snuffed out then issuing licenses to put down retarded rock band members would be morally consistent and thus permissible if I take his drift.
