I wish that I was smart enough to fix the problems with our justice system. It would seem to me that we should get rid of the old system of using precedence in deciding law, rewrite the laws so a high school graduate can understand them fully, and have lawyers forbidden from the legislative branch. Really, wouldn't a trial be more just if a judge were chosen for being fair and wise, not for being educated and crafty?

(Cedar Rapids – KCRG) -- Police have canceled an Amber Alert for ten-year-old Jetseta Gage of Cedar Rapids after finding a body in rural Johnson County today. A positive identification of the body has not been made.

A wimpy court system is part of our problem, the other problems are crowded prisons and cramped state budgets. No body wants their taxes increased and nobody wants any state services discontinued. Legislatures all over the country are hamstrung.
Sex Offenders have far more protections than someone speeding on Interstate 80. Sad, but true. Nobody is going to step forward to defend me in court and in the newspaper if I'm caught speeding. But the pervert will be defended by the ACLU and other libs without a thought to our innocent children.
I have been informed that a perv just moved into my ara of New Joizee. I am livid, he is within 2 blocks of the school and has potetially hundreds of victims walking by his house daily. What can I do ?
