It's real simple. If you want to engage in Wilsonian crusades and out-Democrat the Democrats on Medicare, agriculture, and education, but you don't want to raise taxes, then you need to do two things: (1) inflate the money supply; and (2) expand the tax base.

Originally, I held great hope that a solution
could be cemented between the two leaders, but
that was dashed on 9/12 when POTUS did not seal
both of our borders.

I voted for George W. Bush both times and campaigned for him. Then illegal immigration can't possibly be an important issue to you...

-No kidding! The deck is certainly stacked against the law abiding U.S. citizen, isn't it?
->"Even IF he wanted to do something - and he doesn't, I'm certainly convinced - it'd never get past our misrepresentatives."<
"misrepresentatives"...that is good. I'm going to use that one also, talk about an accurate description of our legislators!

He made an informative reply explaining why he believes the writer is lying. He made his case, without personal attacks against either of you.
Since you challenged him, and he responded intelligently; can you respond in kind to his post, or are you going to continue to ignore his statement?

...He made an informative reply explaining why he believes the writer is lying.Correction. He transformed what the reporter wrote to fit his conjecture. That is not informative. That is disingenuous.
But I am impressed that he is important enough to have a social secretary.

It's a big step on the road to Balkanization, and CW2. We live in interesting times, indeed.
I don't think that the combination of a totalitarian police state with the invasion of illiterate barbarians has ever occured simeltaneously. Usually the tyrants either lock down the borders (to keep folks in), or the barbarians prevail and install their own regime.
If nothing else, it will create a "bad guy rich" environment.

The last thing on earth we want to hand to our kids is a dirty civil war, Bosnia and Kosovo X 100.
Our present "leaders" who are allowing this barbarian invasion will be responsible 100% for the outcome.

U.S. Constitution Article 4 Section 4: "The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion;"
The powers that be seem to take that section of the Constitution about as seriously as they take the rest of it.

Too many of them are already probably here to avoid that. I agree, but the more that come, the worse it will be.
