My sister lives in Simpsonville, which is a suburb of Greenville. Its kind of a culture shock for someone from New York but it does have cheap housing and friendly people.

However, if you are looking for excitement, its not the place to go. There is a small strip of bars and restaurants in downtown Greenville, but other than that, your life will revolve around Super Wal Mart. Not a place I would want to live, but you can do alot worse.

Oh wow...Small world isn't it!? You're right on with your assessment. And I know that Wal Mart. When we were there, we went to Greenville and they have some kind of an outdoor kids thing. Was fantastic...All kinds of games and outside stuff. Water spray thing, kids boat, bumper cars...Can't remember the name of it! You can buy an all day ticket for like $10
