Big deal, there would have been moaners and whiners no matter who it had been. Had it been someone as repugnant as Ward Churchill, we would have never heard the end of it in the MSM.
The fact that they're howling in such agony is indicative that the Holy Father is the right man for the job. It is the duty of conservative Catholics to draw around the Holy Father in a ring of steel and defend him against the slander and ill wishes he's receiving.

GOOD GRIEF!!! There are some mean-spirited people in the world, aren't there?
Thanks for linking - ugly stuff.
I have a friend who attended St. Mary's - the companion college to Notre Dame - while her husband was at ND. They are both liberals, and I emailed her on her thoughts, knowing she wouldn't be happy.
Even so I was shocked at her response. She said they "were
just talking about him last month before JPII died and were all hoping he was on his way out as well!"
That poster may indeed hope that Benedict XVI dies soon, but you can't infer that. Perhaps he's hoping Benedict will retire shortly. And yes, I know that's an explanation that would fly only amongst the lawyer crowd.
