'Today' titan Matt Lauer and his wife of six years Annette Roque didn't appear to be headed for Splitsville when they made the scene 'a deux' at Time Magazine's glitzy glam bash the other night.
But that's not the tune being belted out on the front cover of next week's National Enquirer. The tabloid claims that the 'Today' host is shopping for his own digs in the Big Apple after continuing troubles in their marriage forced him and Roque to seperate.
Besides Lauer's grueling work schedule and globetrotting for NBC, Roque is still stung by old reports that her hubby had an affair with a married, 26 year old woman right before they wed.
Sources told the tabloid that people at NBC knew things were rocky when Matt stopped bringing his wife to network parties.
Another claimed Annette, when they did appear together, acted like a suspicious wife who didn't trust her husband around other women.
Lauer's ex-wife, ex-Boston TV gal Nancy Alspaugh, told the tabloid that 'women throw themselves at him.'
'Show me 10 men who are in the position he is,' she said. 'And I will show you nine who are unfaithful-only they don't get caught or their wives don't leave them.'

Poor ol' White Powder Matt. . .
Women throw themselves at him?
He's always looked like a homo to me.
Blah, blah, blah, 10 liberal men maybe.
He needs to grow that hair out. Right now he looks really gross!
Coorect, only in the liberal circles they travel in!
Does he still love the white stuff after all this time?
Matt lauer = The other Diva on the Today Show.
Here we have Matt getting into the Olympic Spirit for NBC. Something weird's going on here.
Alimony---Matt can kiss bye-bye to at least half his earnings.
"10 liberal men maybe."
*lol!* and most conservative men are monogamous? Please. Family values and religion have NOT ever historically prevented conservative men from succumbing to infidelity. From minsters in the pulpit right on down to the average hard-working conservative....they are cheating by and large. It's just that their WIVES don't admit it. Wake up. Men's inability to resist temptation on a carnal level knows no affiliation.
Well, actually yes, we do tend to honor our words of fidelity. I've never cheated in a relationship. Neither has my father, or our President (I'm sure). Does that mean the next 27 conservative men I meet have? Granted we're not in Matt Lauer's position, but if we were I doubt we'd be conservatives.
Too bad you have such a poor view of men in general and conservative men to be specific.
TC
If you're a man, speak for yourself. If you're a woman, do men a favor and avoid relationships until you've become a lot less bitter.
Second, wow, plucked those talking points right out of thin air did ya?
Begone troll and bother me no more with your idiocy.
We will have to defer to your apparent wealth of experience with bathroom romances.
I can’t wait for the Letterman interview...
“Lauer’s ex-wife, ex-Boston TV gal Nancy Alspaugh, told the tabloid that ‘women throw themselves at him.”
Lib women that like metrosexuals, maybe...me, not so much...
I am kind of in the "who cares?" club on this one.
