I still like "The Simpsons."
"Arrested Development" is hilarious. Sadly, it's about to be axed, even after getting the Emmy.
"The Simpsons" definitely is past its prime, and should probably be put down. From what I have seen of "Arrested Development," it is a great show, the highlight of that line-up ("Malcom in the Middle" was funny for a couple of seasons, but shows about kids can't last).
I miss Futurama.
The first season of Arrested Development was one of the funniest single season's I've ever seen. The second season, however, operated on about 35% of the laughs and enjoyment of the first. Too many self referential and repeated jokes/gags, too many subplots, and you just had a feeling the creators weren't sure where to go with the show (the sloppy and overlong "George Bluth in the attic" thing, the ugly "Mrs. Doubtfire" subplot, the disappearance of Anyong, ect.)
The episode about the "Mother-Boy" competition is a hilarious classic. Yet again, another great FOX show dies an early death.
The Curse of Seinfeld extends to even recurring guest appearances?
"The Simpsons" died when Homer went gay.
