They "jumped the shark" when someone made a show about a brat getting away with everything and a doofus dad. That is why my family has NEVER watched the crap. Someone asked my 13 year old son about Bart Simpson and he replied, "Is he related to O.J.?"

"Is he related to O.J.?" Yes. They both have been getting away with murder for years. After the first ten episodes, they began to get repetitive and rather unoriginal. Archie Bunker as a cartoon character.
