The way the joke was taken says more about the mentality of those who misunderstood it than it does about the person telling the joke.

I heard Rush say that the Tories may have pulled out the win, and am not sure how to take it. I suppose it's possible, but you and I both know exit polls are not to be trusted.

The loss of Tony Blair would be symbolic, and would be made much of in the MSM. But the Tories were supportive of us in the Iraq War as well, and would doubtlessly have better domestic policies. Ultimately, it boils down to what the Britons want--may their choice be in their country's best interest.
