good stuff in Peacebaby's 70s world: The Doobie Brothers, doobies, peasant blouses, hemp sandals, Crosby Stills Nash & Young, Loggins and Messina, no mortgage payments, no debt.

4. Detroits Automobiles /Bad things.

The 1970 Mach 1 was a hot car. I would have to disagree with you on this one.

There was a song called Chevy Van. Had to be the world's cheesiest song!

It was their goal to kill rock and roll.

Their self-destructing US tour DID make labels reconsider pushing bands that wouldn't last long enough to recoup production costs. Any fascination the majors had with "punk" ended at Winterland.

Yeah. All those songs are great music, great classics, and worth an occasional listen.

An occasional listen.

Worst automobiles: Chevy Vega, Ford Pinto

My personal likes: 1971 Plymouth Satellite or Dodge Charger....gotta love that low-ridin' wedge shape

47 year old Peter Brady is living with a 22 year old model. Don't ask me how I know this because it's too embarrassing to tell.

did someone say Custom van? My dear friend just bought one for us girls to do a roadtrip (we're 50!). complete with wood grain interior, sofa that automatically slides down into a bed, refrigerator, color TV, excellent sound system, wood cup holders and ashtrays at every seat.

Gonna get out the love beads and floppy hats, load up the van, and hit the beach this summer.
