*New* The FreeRepublic Saddle Club - Who's Who *pics*

This is a horse chat thread where we share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share. In the previous threads we have had a great time talking through lessons, training, horse lamenesses, illnesses and pregnancies... and always sharing pictures and stories.

I always have a link to this thread on my profile page, so if you have something to say and can't find the thread in latest posts… look for it there and wake the thread up!

I also have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and Becky pings everyone most mornings. Let Becky (Paynoattentionmanbehindthecurtain) and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list. As FreeRepublic is a political site, our politics and other issues will probably blend in…. There are many issues for horsemen that touch politics… land use, animal rights/abuse cases that make the news…. Legislation that might affect horse owners.

So... like the previous threads, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends. There are lots of ways of doing things and we all have our quirks, tricks and specialties that are neat to learn about.

Sure wish that clinic was closer to me, I'd love to come and audit.

What all is in the vaccine? I don't know the answer off the top of my head but I'll look it up right quick.

I'm not surprised to hear that, Rowdy does look like a good horse.

My DIL had a mustang when she and my son met, he bucked her off every time she turned around and was totally unpredictable. My husband finally told her, if she'd get rid of him, he'd get her a good horse. She found a home for the mustang - he's a ranch horse now, and Bob gave her Egypt as a two year old. She laughs now because she never liked appaloosas, never liked white horses, and thought Arabs were crazy. Now she wouldn't sell "E" for a million dollars.

This is a comparison chart of all the different complete vaccines. When you click on the names, the description and price pops up. Most of them were in 17 dollar range but one was 88 dollars. Maybe that's the one you're looking at.

Every part of the Nile? That's the first time today I've had a good laugh.

Ok, 3 more pictures, but they are non horse, sorry.

This is a rose that is blooming on my rose bush. I took it because it's the first rose that has bloomed that looked good. I cut all the others off awhile back. I think the late freeze we got messed them up. But this one is very pretty, and I have more buds now. But this is the first.

JP's favorite place to play is my feed barrel. He likes to take a little scoop and scoop it up and pour it into the coffe can I use to measure feed with.

And JP mowing today.

Hope you don't mind the grand baby pictures, I couldn't resist:)

You just reminded me - I need to order vaccines again. We pay $22 for West Nile - it's not combined with anything. Then we pay $9.95 for one dose syringe (although I buy 10 dose vials at $89.95 for Fluvac Innovator 4 (2-way sleeping sickness, tetanus and flu)

It is a very pretty rose!

The mowing picture makes my feet hurt! We like cute kid pics too, we're easy that way :~D

I'm taking a break from mowing tomorrow. We've got to go pick up the truck and then see the Lippizaners.

To get the same thing I would need two and one was 89 dollars. Someone told me I could get everything at TSC except the West Nile. It's just such a long drive. I'll call tomorrow but so far it looks like the vet the best option. Duchess is that 10 for the rest?

Oh, that's right, the Lippizaners. I'd love to see them. They come here quite often, I've just never gone. Don't know why....

Well I'll be busy tomorrow. Blake will be here, he is Jenny's stepson. He lives with them when school is out. He and I are riding tomorrow. I'll get pictures. Then me and the girls are going to the Bixby arena to practice barrels there.

If I don't talk to you tomorrow, have fun:)

Is West Nile always by itself? I noticed on that chart I posted there wasn't West Nile listed with the combined vaccines.

I have some video of my babies toddling around naked, they are cutest ones we have. Babies are shaped so funny, round tummies and behinds.
