HMM I don't know. I have gone thru a couple of bad ones. Most just tend to be rainmakers though. Some people who move here and go thru one that is predicted to be a "monster" and blows out get complacent and don't realize how bad they can be.
Never have been in one. By the time they get up here it is usually just a rain storm with gusty winds. I do remember when Camille came ashore that many people were complacent and died. One guy that survived had tied himself to a tree so he could watch it. I think he was a certified nutcase.
