It may already BE too late!
Actually, it's already too late. But it might stop additional bloodshed.
For starters land mines, at least until we can fully man the border. It would take less time to train and man a border patrol force than it would take to train and man the Iraqi military. Anything is better than the status quo.
When we cease to be American Citizens, we cease to be citizens at all.
Serfs have no rights.
It's probably too late. They're already here.
Amen! Political correctness has got to go and profiling in.
Isn't that what they said when Hitler took over, and over, and over?
I haven't seen anyone on this thread screaming or talking about nuking people.
I believe you to be correct. It's part of their scheme imho
Today, as six months ago(from 9/11), we remain concerned that many among us do not have adequate shelter and healthcare, that too many of us do not make a living wage that our children's schools are substandard and under-funded, and that life-saving drugs are not readily available to those with chronic or life-threatening illnesses. We remain concerned that too many of us are pulled over for driving or flying while black or brown. Still others face harassment, physical violence and discrimination on the street, at their place of worship, or at their workplace for the color of their skin or their perceived religion. We remain concerned that those gay, lesbian and bisexual people that serve in our military are at risk, that not all who wish to serve can, and that the blood of our gay, bisexual and Haitian brothers is automatically screened from the blood supply.
But more than this, we are concerned that there are too many among us who are ridiculed or threatened for asking questions, for speaking their truths, and for believing in a worldwide nonviolent movement for social justice and social change. As the so-called war on terrorism grows with planned strikes in Georgia, Yemen and the Philippines, it is up to each of to ask our government to be accountable for its actions. As the number of detainees held without charge or trial in American jail cells remains constant, it is up to us to ask our government the hard questions. From America's largest cities to its rural towns, a government that uses patriotism to silence its critics silences each of us.
BTW I am all for a documented guest worker program where good hard working people are allowed to work(but not citizenship) and gets rid of the immigration mess we have today.
I'm afriad that it is too late for him.
He's already made his choices. And as right as he is on many issues, he's dead wrong on this one.
just lay landmines along the border, and problem solved.
so you are willing to KILL men women and children to satisfy your fear? I know if I were in charge I wouldnt ask my military to do that, they have other things to do and besides that, I seriously doubt we could put enough land mines down across our borders to significantly make that much of a difference in the first place. The Russians tried that in Afghanistan when they withdrew. Hell the Russians loaded all of their planes with land mines and rolled them out as they flew out of the country. It didnt do ANYTHING to stop the Afghans. It would only be a matter of time until the illegals know their ways through the mine fields.
there are better ways and land mines ARE NOT it.
Besides why would AQ want to go across the border?
It is quicker, easier and probably safer for them to just fly their terrorists in VIA airplanes.....
