Human has a tendency to cover up part of their low-level behavior with generous dose of mysticism. This kind of low-level mechanism powerfully constrains what is called "rational choice." It is even happening in economics. In the case above, they established a tangible mechanism.

Oh, well, if economists have observed it, it must be so! I guess I'm in that part of the cycle where everything smells like BS.
In another week I'll have keener grasp of it and call it not BS but argumentum ad verecundiam.

Bet if you reran the test with exactly the same people, the results would be different. Unfortunately, it can't be done, because a prejudice has already occurred.
I'd classify this as WORTHLESS, STUPID RESEARCH.
I guess work on the "Scenternet" will have to begin soon.
