I’ll be serious for a moment (rare for me).
I think those of us who read and / or post to Free Republic have an obligation to make donations.
I almost never donate to any organization. Sometimes a few bucks to the Salvation Army, but almost never to anyone else.
In the case of FR, I feel differently. I do not think the Robinsons are cutting any fat hogs here. I’ve been around for awhile, and my impression is that they are working their butts off and doing a very good, very important job.
I am not rich, so I cannot always donate. When I do, I try to make it at least $100 a pop. My thinking is that smaller donations may cost them more to process than they bring in. If I could do $100,000, I would.

It might cost a slightly higher percentage for small donations, but it never costs more than we bring in.

I decided today..when the TX GOP called for yet another donation, that i would spill my 'beans'...TO THE FREEPERS! I told them I was not in a position to give at this time to any orginazation other than the Freepers...lol. Just remember.."Bean Time" is in November. But..I say what mean..and I mean what i say..an elephant is faithful..100%!
