Chris Webster is, in my humble opinion, THE greatest Torch Singer in America today (and she sings a LOT of other styles extremely well, too). She has best voice I've ever heard, and is quite well-known in the Northern California area, where she performs both solo and with her long-time Zydeco band, "Mumbo Gumbo".

I thought that Freepers who have an interest in GREAT and varied pop/country/blues/zydeco/standards would be very interested to hear her sing (samples of her songs can be listened to on her website:
