I watch the occasional preseason game – just to assuage the terrible addiction sickness of not watching football for so many months. After half a game – unless it’s really good, I can go about my business and wait for the regular season.
It is a good way to see new players strut their stuff. They really have to be impressive to get a spot on the team.

Maybe it would be good to warn women (for the sake of their health) that their husbands should be "cut off" until after the SuperBowl then.

My late wife was a fan of daytime talk shows. She tried to cut me off once just to show she was boss. I said that would be OK, smiled and gave her a kiss and caress – then went to bed. She was shocked, believing I was to sleep on the couch. I informed her – politely – that if she didn’t want to sleep with me it was her choice. But I have the bed.
She stomped off to the living room in a huff. She held out for almost two hours before meekly returning and profusely apologizing. It was a great night.

I would try to be as nice as possible. Not only did I sincerely love Sheryl, but at least once a year she would get the urge to beat up a man – and would. I didn’t want it to be me. I would take her to a bar, she would pick find a good size obnoxious drunk – and pick a fight. She never lost. It was just something she had to get out of her system.

I was thinking the same thing. Never have I heard "she wanted to cuddle" as a motive for murder. They could have easily cuddled whilst he watch his sports programme.
