I agree. He's obviously way too obsessed with sports, but the viciousness of the crime was too great to declare a mental problem.

Maybe we'll see a trend.

I totally feel people should get what they deserve - my question is, anyone that murders someone like this - are they not crazy?

Agreed, but this ruling won't stand. The Supremes have determined you can't execute someone who is mentally ill. They'll keep him on thorazine in some state hospital the rest of his life at taxpayer expense. It ain't right, but I'll bet that's what they do.
