Wow, It's Doomsday All Over Again

Posted on 08/06/2005 10:04:37 AM PDT by msf92497

According to the tinfoiler numerologists, today is the day our peace-loving muslim friends of Al Qaeda, plan to unleash the fury of hidden Russian nukes in US cities.

I for one, plan to enjoy time with my family, mow the lawn, imbibe in brew and "Q", and go about my life without a worry.

What are you going to do, now that we teeter on the verge of an apocalyptic precipice?

It is? Is that because they are going to "86" us? Or should I say US?

What are you going to do

Today I am scanning FR off and on, working on the usual long-term projects, and watching for Terrorists to drive by the street and attempt to blow up somebody's vegetable garden.

I don't know about the tinfoil hatters but personally I live in an arm pit of a state with only one city of 500,000 or more, and that is 200 mile away. I have my MRE's, my rifle and plenty of ammo. And that one city was not on the list of seven targets.

One also wonders if they are only goint to hit the big cities...how to put this to where it is acceptable....how many libs vs how many conservatives do ya think are gonna get whacked? Not saying that is what I want to happen, I do not! I would prefer that no bombs go off and NOONE dies...but given a choice between El Paso, TX and San Fransisco, CA?

here's some of the prognostication:

WASHINGTON – Intelligence gathered from captured al-Qaida documents and interrogations of captured operatives has provided the U.S. with some specific information about Osama bin Laden's favored dates for his decade-long plan for an "American Hiroshima" nuclear terrorist attack – and one of those dates arrives this week.

One of the most frequently cited dates is Aug. 6, the anniversary of the U.S. nuclear bombing of Hiroshima. Saturday marks the 60th anniversary of that attack, so this Aug. 6 would have special significance, reports Joseph Farah's G2 Bulletin, the premium, online intelligence newsletter that has broken several major stories tracking al-Qaida's nuclear terrorism plans.

An amateur sleuth, Michael Matuszak, points out, for instance, that Saturday would also mark the 1,426 days since Sept. 11, 2001. He points out that, in the Islamic calendar, this is the year 1426 – and that Aug. 6 would be the first day of the seventh month, the exact midway point of the year 1426.

"It is as if Bin Laden started by scheduling 'American Hiroshima' for 8-6-2005 and then worked backwards to arrive at 9-11-2001 as the precursor," he speculates.

Matuszak arrives at the calculation, however, by including Sept. 11, 2001, in his addition.

The Aug. 6 date and its association with Hiroshima was actually cited by captured al-Qaida operatives, according to U.S. military sources.

So, how high is the risk this week?

This year, falling on a Saturday as it does, some G2B intelligence sources say it is highly unlikely a major nuclear attack will occur.

"In addition to mentioning this date as a preferred target, Al-Qaida operatives have made it clear they also prefer an attack during the daylight during the week to wreak maximum havoc and to be sure the entire world views the images of burning U.S. cities," said one knowledgeable military intelligence source.

10:30 AM

80 degrees, sunny, gentle breeze, and the only conflict is between my four-year old and his sisters.

Its a hot balmy day here in sweet Texas...
so far I have cleaned my house...watched a little
bit of the classic "The Shinning" (it's on satellite)
and soon will head to Home Depot for plants
If and when my maker decides my time is done
I'll be awaiting and ready to see him
until then..I have an amazing husband, 2 awesome kids, and
my cat Coco...
All I can say to the terrorists is "You guys are idiots..we aren't afraid..we are Americans!!!"
