Sir Sean Connery has the sexiest male voice in showbusiness, according to a poll today.
Singer Robbie Williams came second in the survey, after the former Bond star, followed by Welsh crooner Tom Jones.
Broadcaster Mariella Frostrup is top of the women?s list, with actress Joanna Lumley in second place.
Radio 1 breakfast DJ Chris Moyles is fourth in the men?s survey, while England footballer David Beckham and TV chat show host Jonathan Ross, who are not normally known for their sexy voices, also made it into the top six.
More than 1,000 people voted in the poll for Yahoo! Messenger.
Spokesman Darren Cairns said the results were a vote for the more mature voice.
He said: "It seems it's not what you say, it's the way you say it, and according to these results the more mature often say it considerably better.
"Sean Connery, the sexiest voice in UK showbiz, still has a licence to thrill with his voice."

The SNL skits with the fake Trebek and fake Connery were some of the funniest things I ever saw in my life. The one where Connery tried to buy a "Penis Mightier" from Trebek had me spewing cola from my nose.

Ooh, I love Sam Elliot! I'd say Avery Brooks or Ricardo Montalban for the sexiest voice, though.
I have a feeling this poll talked to youngsters - I've never heard of (or heard :-) most of those people!

This show City Confidential is on A&E daily in the day and new shows come around during the fall at night, I think Sat.
They take a small town and investigate a crime that happened ....Winfield's voice is the show as narrator : )))
