some rapper punk or whoever was just on trying to get people to donate money to the red cross. He was on with Mike Myers (Wayne's World). Mike Myers asked people to donate...then Kanye West went on a tirade about Iraq, Mike Myers said something else, and then Kanye says "GEORGE BUSH DOESN'T CARE ABOUT BLACK PEOPLE!"

You may have a point. But part of me resents the fact that I have to refute any distortions that the MSM has put out there. All people really have to do is open their eyes and there are plenty of mainstream hard working Blacks just going about their daily business anyway. Why must I grandstand like Geraldo?

We're still angry about the SF earthquake... we donated money and received a letter saying that the Red Cross felt like they had done all they could, but they were going to keep our donation to use in other areas of need.
My only issue with NOT giving to them is that my wife's employer is matching Red Cross dontations...
So fed up with the cheap shots at GWB for everything that goes wrong anywhere.
I just emailed them. I don't expect a response though. Now on to NBC.
Too many people think the world is a movie...especially those in the media who are all about "video". The Feds do not snap their fingers and all of a sudden 50,000 helicopters show up. Where do they get pilots? where do they get fuel? where do they take people? are people willing to leave?
People there obviously need help, but if the "MAYOR" of NO would have prepared and his city council would have prepared a little better, this would not be such a big deal.I saw the picture of schools buses all parked in a lot under water. Why didn't you have these buses combing the neighborhood picking up people to transport? I bet the mayor got out in plenty of time.
We're tired of the hip-hop mentality being looked to as a place of conscience and moral direction. They are viewed by the MSM, Sports writers, Hollywood, etc. as if they are the great artists of our time. Hog wash! We will find other places to donate, places that recognize the hip-hop mindset is nothing more than spoiled and defiant.

Why should you? I don't not know of any white people who do that.
But contact them by email. There is no reason to be tying up phone lines with complaints when others may want to be calling in donations.
Remmeber getting money into the area to support those in need right now is the most important thing.

I can't believe this stuff is going out live on the airwaves. I just got home and I'm floored they are saying this stuff. Does anyone know if they are replaying this ''telethon''? They will probably bleep out the offensive things that are being said though!
I don't know West's EMail but I sent one to MSNBC telling them that if they don't disassociate themselves from his statements that they must agree with them.

Also, probably the one least likely for liberals to pay attention to whatsoever...
Perhaps all of the white folks who are manning the refugee centers in Houston, Baton Rouge, etc., should just pack it up and go home. Perrhaps all of the people who are taking refugees into their homes should just say no. Then the racists might be able to prove their point.
Looks like the fundraising/Bushbashing efforts are off to a rousing start. I had a feeling something like this would happen.
