I think a good many people are angry
at the gov & mayor for not stepping
up to the plate, BEFORE the hurricane
arrived and AFTER.
The gov & mayor are suppose to ACT
FIRST & FOREMOST....Bush offered
them troops BEFORE the hurricane.
But no! The gov, mayor and other
LA officials had a "conference"
and decided NOT to accept the OFFER.
Mayor nagin is NOT Guiliani....
Gov Blanc-O is NOT Pataki......
These guys seem to be taking it ok.
Shep should act a little more manly.
I agree. Shep is a good reporter. I saw him blow his top, but that was only because Blowhard O'Reilly was being an idiot again ("its all about me"). Was good to see him rake Bill over the coals a bit.
He's from Mississippi,--- Holly Springs, I think.
I thought Shep was from Mississippi.
LOL!!!!!! Not that I "totally" agree, but I can't stop laughing!
Can you docurment this?
Don't you pay attention to how
government operates. State,
local & national?
Do some research.
I have a fair understanding of how those things work already, thank you, and wasn't asking about how government responsibilities are allocated. FWIW, I have personal experience of a major hurricane strike, its aftermath and the roles played by the local, state and federal governments during the entire ordeal.
My question was, as I thought my post made clear, whether you could document the part of your post that stated that Bush offered troops before the storm hit, but that Blanco and Nagin held a conference and decided to refuse the help.
I'd love to be able to use that info next time I see a couple of my liberal friends and need a response to whatever their current anti Bush lines are.
I like Shepard Smith, too... for the most part... and especially after his emotional outburst a couple of days ago. I like when a reporter has the balls to speak his mind and show his emotions. That really brought it home for me. I don't feel that he's as ego-driven as Geraldo. But then WHO IS?
On purpose? It wasn't an accident? And Rush is STILL running around with Daryn Kagan?
I can just see "Geraldo Action Figures" at Toys 'R Us this Christmas. It will be the equal to Cabbage Patch Dolls.
Still looking.
There were a couple of threads posted on this (from news sources), over the last day or two.
