parkerized will hold up better in the keys area

Yeah I have been told that the parkerized would be better here. They tell me a dent or chip in the nickel finish and rust will occur.

Yes it's definitely for home defense. We got a big run on firearms here in the wake of Katrina.

If you've got the bucks [one grand plus], look at the Wilson Scattergun Technologies 870. Got all the bells and whistles: extended mag, parkerized finish, tactical light in forearm, side saddle ammo holder, ghost rings and fiber optic sights. Go with parkerized in any case.
